Tuesday 19th December Racing

Every Tuesday, I’ll be on SEN Track to pick out some interesting races worth running an eye over. On the radio, we’ll mostly be reacting to late market moves, but there is enough to mention right now.

Only two meetings today so we will be covering two races for each meeting! To start off our day of racing, we make our way to Terang for Race 3 where the large field should make it an interesting race. So far this morning we have seen some early money coming in for the #3 Machinegun Krelley who should find this race a lot easier than his last. #2 Kimmorley also rates quite highly in this one as he likes to hold his position and pace before finding a way out and finishing strong. There hasn’t been much movement on the favourite this morning, however it will pick up once it is closer to jump. After five career starts, the three-year-old filly is searching for that elusive maiden. Will likely push forward and track the pace to get a good position.

Staying at Terang for Race 4 and once again it is another full field, however this race will be a lot more of an open race. #14 Rebellious Hope has been receiving attention from punters after a nice run at Ballarat on debut then to go on and finish in the placings at Mornington last start. She will come into this with a lot more fitness and experience which will work in dividends. #10 Burlington Gate is looking like a good value pick for this race with a lot of upsides at $7 (at the time of publishing). Has an ideal barrier this race and should prove to be quite strong come the final straight.

Making our way to Scone, the first race we will be covering is Race 4 where it is all about #14 Zippo Idea who ran a good trial to win over 900m at Scone so will be coming into this with confidence and looks fit to come away with a win. #10 Hidden Mogul is the traders value pick for this race at $8.40 (at the time of publication). Starting her second career race she looks like a real threat after finishing second on debut. Will come into this a lot better for the experience and will be a lot fitter.

Lastly, staying at Scone for Race 5 where the favourite #2 King Rupert is being backed by punters. Fitness will be on his side and will find this much easier after finishing a solid third last start and will make sure to utilise his strength and set the pace for the race. #3 Talons also rates quite highly in this one despite the unplaced finish last start, however that race was a lot better than it appears on the career record. Since changing stables she hasn’t produced a poor performance and it doesn’t look like she will start with this one.

Thanks for following along, and don’t forget to tune into SEN Track to hopefully snag some wins. BOOM!
