Every Tuesday, I’ll be on SEN Track to pick out some interesting races worth running an eye over. On the radio, we’ll mostly be reacting to late market moves, but there is enough to mention right now.
It is overcast and slightly wet in Victoria, where our first race will be Bendigo Race 2. The short field and short-priced favourite have made this an interesting race with two runners capable of ousting the favourite. #6 Miss Passion will be coming into this with quite an attractive record of five placings in five career starts, however that was over a year ago. She has been looking sharp during her trials, but I will be playing it close due to the uncertainties because of being out for so long. #2 Aye Aye Skipper looks ready and set to go where he is drawn to get a much better run and is definitely a chance to take the win over the favourite.
Next up we make our way to Albury for Race 2 where all the attention is on the #5 Ruperts Red Rocket. He has hit the ground running with three podium finishes from his four career starts to date and looks a serious player in this contest as well. #3 Keith is a strong favourite in this one with his strong front pace and if he can start off strong, he should be quite hard to run down. Both Keith and Ruperts Red Rocket look like the stronger runners in this one and the final straight should come down to a battle between the two.
On the way to Tamworth for Race 4, it is all about the #2 Wanda River and #3 More For Us who are both joint favourites at $2.80 (at the time of publishing). Wanda River has made a good start to her career placing is four out of five starts, with a second place in his latest start. More For Us had a strong return back to racing with a second-place finish after winding up nicely towards the end. With a favourable barrier draw we could see a replication of that effort. #1 Invincible Red is what the traders are liking this morning after a handy third on debut. Will come into this with a lot more race experience and looks like a serious contender if he can jump well.
Lastly, we finish off back at Bendigo for Race 6, where it is all about the #1 Propice with sharp and early money flooding in for him. The six-year-old has done quite a bit of travel in his career including a stint in Hong Kong. He comes into this fresh and was a runner-up last start before going on a break and returns to this race which is easier than anything he has contested in a while. #7 Simply Sparklez is one from the trader, who like me are all about the value selections and at $7 (at the time of publishing), it screams value. She won when first up at Swan Hill and will definitely come into this with a lot of improvement on the track and in her fitness, so will be sure to feature come the finish.
Thanks for following along, and don’t forget to tune into SEN Track to hopefully snag some wins. BOOM!
