Tuesday Racing 21st November

Every Tuesday, I’ll be on SEN Track to pick out some interesting races worth running an eye over. On the radio, we’ll mostly be reacting to late market moves, but there is enough to mention right now.

Starting off our Tuesday of racing, we begin at Newcastle for Race 3. With all of the early money coming in on the short-priced favourite #3 Shuri, in addition with the small field due to a number of scratching’s, it’s no surprise that she is such a short price. She was impressive on debut last start to snag her maiden win and will be looking to make it two for two today. Does rise in distance and class however, if she gets a good start and finds the lead, I don’t see the rise in distance being an issue for her. #6 Watch My Girl will also be coming into her third start with a lot of confidence by getting her maiden win on her last start at Gosford. She had a lot of traffic to get through, yet still managed to come away with the win. Does come into this with a wide draw, but she has a lot more to offer than we saw in her win and will also be a lot fitter.

Next up we make our way to Bairnsdale for Race 4, where it is shaping up to be quite an open race despite the short-priced favourite. #1 Bon Appetit has a been racing in some quite impressive recent form with consistent placings. The elusive maiden win still evades him, but this race gives him the best opportunity to add a ‘1,’ to the form column. #8 Turpin’s Torment is next best in this one, however he will have to overcome an awkward barrier if he wants to contend come the final straight.

Rockhampton Race 1 is where we shift our focus and it’s all about the #4 Sabor so far this morning. Will be first-up off a 13-week spell but ticks all the boxes which suggest that he will take a beating for this one. Does have a solid turn of foot, so if he gets a good start and races towards the front, he will be there at the end. #2 Media Empire has been racing well and found himself in the placings in his last two starts. He is yet to miss a placing here and doesn’t look like that personal record will be broken this time round.

Back at Bairnsdale for Race 6 where surprisingly the early market movement is leaning more for the second best in this race rather than the favourite. #2 Scream has been receiving a lot of attention after his dominant win last start. Will be rising in class but with such a dominant win, will be coming into this a lot fitter as well. Of course, we can’t skip past the favourite #6 Flip the Switch who has been winning in her trials leading into this race and has also won here first-up previously. She is also afforded with a good barrier draw and does like to settle on the pace, so we should be in for a battle down the final straight between the two favourites.

Thanks for following along, and don’t forget to tune into SEN Track to hopefully snag some wins. BOOM!
