This is going to be a tremendous series but there is little doubt that Boston come into this with more top-end talent with Jayson Tatum the best player on the court. The Celtics have covered eight straight as a road underdog and 18 of 23 as an outsider. They have covered 36 of 51 against winning teams and 11 of 14 off a win. With 13 covers in their last 19 in Miami, Boston are the bet.

Boston lead the NBA in 1st half defence, conceding just 50.5 1st half points per game. That has fallen to 44.3 in their last three and 49.8 on the road, both clearly on top of NBA standings. The Celtics should be off to a fast start.

It is no surprise that the total for the opener is so low but it does not look low enough with these two teams both heavily focused on defence as their path to title glory. The under is 16-5 when Miami are favoured in a playoff. It is 7-1 when the Heat are favoured and 6-1 when they are at home. The under has hit in five of seven Celtics games.
