SATURDAY NRL BOOMS

Boom Best
Melbourne +2.5  ($1.90) v Penrith
Melbourne, even without Ryan Papenhuyzen, should not be an underdog here against Penrith at a neutral venue that favours the Storm if anyone. The Storm have broken all kinds of records over the opening nine rounds with one of the most scintillating attacks in the history of the premiership. Melbourne hold form when their attack is on song too, covering 11 of 13 off a win of 30-plus. They have covered 27 of 38 off scoring 30. Penrith are rarely a good bet away from Penrith and have covered just 4 of 12 on the road off a loss. The Storm should be winning.

Boom Value
New Zealand ($3.00) v South Sydney
The Warriors look major overs here against the Rabbitohs, who continue to lose more troops. The Rabbitohs this week lost Cameron Murray with fullback Blake Taafe also unlikely. Souths have dominated this matchup but the Warriors will be chastened by last week and Souths are one of the more overrated teams in the premiership at the moment. New Zealand are overs.

Boom Boom
Beau Fermor First Try ($21.00) Gold Coast v St George Illawarra
Fermor has proven a talented tryscorer this year with three tries to his name already. Twice he has scored first and twice within the first five minutes. He likes to get involved early and is a big chance of scoring against the lacklustre Dragons right edge defence.
