Sydney Roosters -1.5 ($1.90) v Manly
Both the Roosters and the Sea Eagles looked looked off the pace Week 1 but the Roosters problems look more solvable. The Roosters had a lot of players on the comeback trail. Manly’s issues seem to be how to overcome the increased focus good teams will be putting on Tom Trbojevic. The Roosters have won four of the last six meetings but the key is the venue here. The Chooks have been particularly strong at the SCG off a loss. The Roosters should be winning and winning well.

St George Illawarra ($3.70) v Penrith
The Dragons can catch the Panthers in a flat spot here. Penrith came out sizzling in the opener but now face an underrated Dragons team and do so without Nathan Cleary. Penrith are poor as a road favourite and particularly poor as a big road favourite. The Dragons have covered five of seven against the Panthers so can keep this close. They are certainly overs.
