Peter Wright was nearly a withdrawal at the UK Open last week after suffering from gallstones. The lingering effects cannot be good, particularly after Snakebite went deep. Clayton has cooled off a little of late and Wright does dominated this matchup but this is the perfect spot to get the Scot.

Michael Smith must be feeling as if his major drought will never end after losing the UK Open last week as a massive favourite against Danny Noppert, his 9th major final he has lost. He is absolutely vulnerable to the quality Gary Anderson this week. Anderson has not won since opening night but holds a 7-6 TB advantage and is just 1.25 shy of Smith in averages.

James Wade +1.5/Gerwyn Price -1.5
James Wade is playing some underrated darts at the moment, reaching the Sunday in the UK Open and winning as an underdog a number of Premier League matches. He has won one of three against MVG the last two years so happy to roll with the Machine. Joe Cullen has really struggled since his Masters win and happy to back Price to get it done, spurred on by losing the No.1 ranking.
