WEDNESDAY RACING BOOMS

Best of the Best
Strathalbyn Race 5 (3.55pm)
1 Koruto

Phillip Stokes 4yo who looked to turn a corner with an excellent run last start. Has won here and won at the trip. Stable is highly astute.
Boom-o-meter: 60%

Canterbury Race 6 (4.40pm)
1 Easy Campese ($8.00)
Put a line through last start when up in Saturday grade on a heavy 10 when he never stood a chance. Placed in a midway then won a midweek before just being collared two runs back. Loves this trip.
Boom-o-meter: 65%

Ascot Race 2 (5.19pm)
4 Catalpa ($2.90)
The Pontiff has just one ride and it is this one so that is a great guide. Excellent resuming at Pinjarra when rocketing home late. Drawn nicely. Step up in trip ideal.
Boom-o-meter: 80%

Sandown Race 6 (5.25pm)
10 Sparring ($2.80)
Boom galloper who won by 6.5L in a canter on debut after winning a trial by 11L. From an unfashionable stable but looks huge odds.
Boom-o-meter: 90%

Ipswich Race 7 (6.10pm)
7 Gypsy Goddess ($1.80)
Unbeaten David Vandyke horse who won the G3 Grand Prix last start by 3.8L before a spell. Looks to have Queensland racing at her hooves. Looks very well weighted considering what she has done.
Boom-o-meter: 95%

Best Exotic
Ascot Race 6 (7.45pm)
Quinella: 1,2

Two standouts here. No.1 Gambler’s Gold has a win and four placings from six starts and was desperately unlucky not to win last start. No.2 Many Mansions was off the map last start at odds and rocketed home to be beaten less than 1L at Pinjarra.
Boom-o-meter: 30%
