A-League Weekend Preview

Melbourne Victory v Macarthur Bulls

The Victory will look forward getting back to it this weekend after having two games postponed last weekend against the Roar. They will be up against the Bulls who are coming off a disappointing 2-2 draw against the Jets. Both teams will want to win this game to keep in touch of Melbourne City and Western United at the top of the table.

Prediction: Melbourne Victory 2-1

Best Bet: Francesco Margiotta anytime goal at $2.50

Western United v Newcastle Jets

Western United have a chance to extend their lead at the top of the table this week against the Jets, who have had a resurgence of some sort in the past few weeks. Western United have won their last three games and will want to extend that to four. For the Jets, a win will put them in reach of the top six and keep the pressure on the teams above them.

Prediction: Western United 2-0

Best Bet: Aleksandar Prijovic first goal at $3.70

Central Coast Mariners v Brisbane Roar

The bottom of the table clash awaits us on Saturday where the Mariners and the Roar take on each other. Both teams have been poor all season, with the Mariners losing their last three games, whilst the Roar have lost their last two games. It will be a very interesting battle and it is very likely whoever loses will be the wooden spooners come the end of the season.

Prediction: 1-1 Draw

Best Bet: Draw at $3.50

Western Sydney Wanderers v Sydney FC

The Sydney Derby this week looms to be an interesting contest, with heavy rain over the week could come in play when these two clash on Saturday night. Both teams come into the game having lost their last two games respectively, a win for the Wanderers will move them further away from the bottom of the table, while a win for Sydney will cement their spot in the top six. Sydney will hope for their stars to excel this week, with both Milos Ninkovic and Adam LeFondre looking to find the back of the net.

Prediction: Sydney FC 2-1

Best Bet: Elvis Kamsoba anytime goal at $3.20

Wellington Phoenix v Melbourne City

Another big clash in the A-League this week, when the Phoenix takes on Melbourne City, with both teams in form. The Phoenix have had a mid-season resurgence, winning three of their last five games. Melbourne City on the other hand had a mid-week roadblock, drawing to Perth 2-2 after leading by 2-0. They will have a chance to extend their lead at the top of the table with a win over the Phoenix, but will want the front three of Leckie, Maclaren and Nabbout to fire.

Prediction: Melbourne City 2-0

Best Bet: Jamie Maclaren first goal at $3.10

Perth Glory v Adelaide United

Adelaide will have the chance to climb up the ladder this weekend when they face off against the Glory, who are coming off an impressive 2-2 draw with ladder leaders Melbourne City. Adelaide itself are coming off a last-minute winner against the Mariners last weekend and will take tat confidence this week. A win for the Reds will move them closer to the top of the table, and for the Glory, it will take them away from the bottom of the ladder.

Prediction: Adelaide United 3-1

Best Bet: Adelaide win at $2.36
