Newcastle Jets v Macarthur Bulls
A big challenge for the Jets this week who are looking to be in finals contention with a win this weekend. They face a rampaging Bulls side who have won their last two games, and who are chasing Western United who are sitting clear at the top of the table. It will be another challenge for the Jets, and they will need to be at their best to defeat the Bulls this weekend.
Prediction: 2-1 Macarthur
Best Bet: Macarthur win at $2.66
Adelaide United v Central Coast Mariners
Adelaide will be looking at what went wrong last week after a 4-1 defeat to Macarthur. But they will have to contend with a Mariners side who are fired up after two controversial VAR decisions in the mid-week game against Melbourne City, where they lost 3-2 in the dying stages of the game. A win for the Mariners will keep them in touch with finals contention, but for Adelaide, a win will boost their chances of a top 3 finish.
Prediction: 2-0 Adelaide
Best Bet: Craig Goodwin anytime goal at $2.38
Sydney FC v Melbourne City
The grand final rematch awaits us on Saturday night, when Sydney takes on Melbourne City. Sydney have made a resurgence after the Christmas break and will be looking to take the honours on Saturday night, but they will hope for both Bobo and Adam Le Fondre to fire. City on the other hand will want to keep in touch of Western United and again, Jamie Maclaren and Matt Leckie will look to spearhead the attack again.
Prediction: 2-1 Melbourne City
Best Bet: Jamie Maclaren first goal at $3.35
Western Sydney Wanderers v Wellington Phoenix
The Wanderers take on the Phoenix at the weekend with both teams needing to win to have any chance of playing finals, especially the Wanderers. The Phoenix, who have not played at home this season, will want to keep the pressure on the teams above them. The Wanderers, who have recently appointed a new manager will be looking to stay positive and after a loss last week against the Jets, they will be fired up.
Prediction: 3-0 Western United
Best Bet: Dylan Pierias anytime goal at $3.15
Perth Glory v Western United
It is top of the table against bottom of the table this weekend when the Glory take on Western United down in Tasmania. Western United will want to keep their winning streak alive and push towards the Premiers Plate, whilst the Glory will want to stay away from the wooden spoon. With an injury to star import Daniel Sturridge mid-week, the depth will be tested for the Glory side. Western United on the other hand will look to extend their lead at the top and this game will set it all up for them.
Prediction: 2-2 draw
Best Bet: Draw at $3.55
Brisbane Roar v Melbourne Victory
