It is impossible to go past South Sydney, who have completely dominated this matchup across the last decade. Souths have won nine straight against St George Illawarra in the Charity Shield with three straight wins of 12 or more points. Last year Souths won 48-16 and arguably should have won by more. The Dragons have topped 20 points just once since 2010. Souths have named their strongest available team and Jason Demetriou is likely to treat this game seriously as Wayne Bennett did on both sides of the equation.
