The Jets travel back to Melbourne this weekend after a big win against Melbourne Victory, this time, they are up against another top team in City. The Jets have been in fine form and now are competing for the 6th spot on the table and looking for finals action. City will look to bounce back after a shock 2-1 defeat to Adelaide mid-week, and will be hoping their front three will be firing against the Jets.

Wellington Phoenix v Sydney FC

Another big game awaits us this weekend with both the Phoenix and Sydney fighting to compete for the number one spot on the ladder. The Phoenix have been impressive away from home with two big wins in the last three games. Sydney on the other hand have looked to have resurrected their season, with some challenging wins. After a 1-1 draw last week to Western United, they will have to be at their best to defeat a confident Phoenix side.

Macarthur FC v Adelaide United

Adelaide have looked to have their season back on track, with a mid-week 2-1 win against Melbourne City, which leaves them sitting 3rd on the table. They will face a Bulls side who are coming off a rather lean few weeks, with only a draw in between. The bulls will look to get their season back on track, but with a rampaging Reds side, they will be hard to beat.

Prediction: Adelaide 2-1

Melbourne Victory v Central Coast Mariners

The FFA Cup final rematch takes place on Saturday night where the Victory will take on the Mariners in a must win game for both sides. Victory have not won a league game since Boxing Day, and will ensure that they do perform like they did in the cup final against the Mariners. The Mariners will look to seek revenge, but without having a league win since the 18th of December, it will be challenging to see who will break the draught for the first win.

Western United v Western Sydney Wanderers

New Wanderers coach Mark Rudan will come up against his former side Western United on Sunday and will look to take bragging rights in the battle of the west. This will be Rudan’s first test against his former side who are sitting pretty at the top of the league. Western United will look to spoil the return of Rudan, with John Aloisi’s men looking to extend their lead at the top of the table with a victory on Sunday night,

Prediction: Western United 2-0
