FRIDAY RACING BOOMS

Best of the Best
Cairns Race 6 (4.27pm)
1 Bonython
Former NSW galloper who has done well since heading to North Queensland. Won at Townsville when off the map in a boom go before hitting a heavy track here and getting rolled. Conditions the only query but clearly the class runner.
Boom-o-meter: 70%

Darwin Race 3 (5.55pm)
2 Vela
Former Riverina galloper who landed a strong betting move at his local debut in his first start with Mark Nyhan with a 1L win. The major drop in grade is big. He has a massive edge on all of these.
Boom-o-meter: 90%

The Valley Race 4 (7.45pm)
6 Capital Reign ($3.60)

Speedy Portelli horse on the quick backup when showing plenty of zip in midway grade before being collared late. Love the shift to The Valley. Going to prove tough to be rundown. Has won second-up.
Boom-o-meter: 80%

Sunshine Coast Race 4 (8.38pm)
4 Reality
Consistent Chris Anderson galloper who has missed a place in just one of seven career starts and injury may have been a factor in that miss. Won two of four at the trip. Comes off a nice trial.
Boom-o-meter: 65%

Canterbury Race 8 (9.30pm)
9 Banger ($15.00)

Canberra visitor with the Matt Dale yard. He always needs to be respected when he travels one. Comes off a very impressive win off a let-up. Goes well at the trip and thrown in with the big claim.
Boom-o-meter: 50%

No.2 Daqiansweet Junior is the hot favourite with four straight wins including a very good victory here last start. No.5 South Pacific is an underrated Sydney 6yo who can improve sharply down in Melbourne.
