FRIDAY RACING BOOMS

Best of the Best
Darwin Race 2 (4.25pm)
1 Turnstar

Well-travelled galloper whose last five starts have come in four different states. Beaten as an even money favourite at local debut but happy to forgive as was in wet conditions. Form interstate is enough to have him right in the mix here.
Boom-o-meter: 65%

Rockhampton Race 4 (5.04pm)
1 Fire King
Uber-consistent galloper who has finished in the trifecta in 13 of 15 career starts. Never missed the money at Rockhampton or at the trip. Will absolutely be in the finish here. Last run was excellent.
Boom-o-meter: 80%

Hobart Race 6 (5.50pm)
7 Dodgy One ($6.50)

Lightly-raced Ciaron Maher 3yo who looks a huge show in the Tasmanian Derby. Improved at every step up in trip. Yet to finish outside the quinella. John Allen is a big-time hoop so expecting him to run a very big race.
Boom-o-meter: 75%

Moonee Valley Race 4 (7.45pm)
3 Delacour ($8)
Canberra trainer Norm Gardner rarely travels to Melbourne so this is a highly notable journey. This speedy mare flies fresh with two wins and a second from four fresh runs. Comes off a very good trial. Expecting a big showing.
Boom-o-meter: 65%

Canterbury Race 5 (8.30pm)
2 Perigord ($12)
Quality 6yo who ticks a lot of boxes at a big price. Beat the handy Lancaster Bomber in Saturday grade last July. Has not done a lot in four runs since but did enough at a big price last Saturday behind Maotai. Love the quick backup and the major drop in grade.
Boom-o-meter: 55%
