This is a major mismatch really highlighted by Atlanta’s failure against elite teams. The Hawks are a horrific 5-16 against the spread when playing a team with a record of .600 or better. Atlanta have covered just two of their last seven as a home underdog. Phoenix are 19-9 against the number off allowing 100-plus and they have covered five straight road games. Trae Young may return for Atlanta but it won’t stop the Phoenix juggernaut.

Sacramento ($7.60) at Golden State
Sacramento are on a back-to-back but enter this with some momentum after a dominant win over Brooklyn. The Kings have remarkably won four of their last nine against their Northern California rivals with three of those wins coming as a double digit underdog. Golden State will get Steph back but he has been struggling, particularly from deep. The Kings are not without a show.

Trend analysts are all about the over in this one and early money suggests this total is headed north. Detroit tend to hold negative defensive form with the over 6-2 when the Pistons are off conceding 100 or more. The over is 4-1 when Detroit are off a loss. Minnesota are a huge over team. They have gone over the number in 21 of their last 28 with the over 11-3 when they are off scoring 125-plus. The Timberwolves have scored 124-plus in their last three.
